Maintenance of the Jaw Star

Purpose:

To ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of the Jaw Star of the Preroll-Er (Station 5) to maintain optimal performance and prevent contamination.

Materials Needed:

  • Iso alcohol
  • Tube brush
  • Wrench (if not using a quick connect)
  • Linjette (to help with cleaning and drying)

Procedure:

  1. Unscrew the Holder Sleeve (15)
  • Begin by unscrewing the holder sleeve from the funnel assembly. This will allow access to the components that need cleaning.

  1. Remove the Compacting Pin

If your Preroll-Er is equipped with a quick connect:

  • Use the quick connect to remove the compacting pin.

If your Preroll-Er is not equipped with a quick connect:

  • Loosen the nut located above the compacting pin and unscrew it to remove the pin.

  1. Clean the Funnel
  • Once the compacting pin is removed, take iso alcohol and a tube brush to clean the interior of the funnel (referred to as "la fleur").
  • Apply iso alcohol as needed to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Use wipe to remove any excess alcohol and dry the components.

  1. Inspect the Funnel Regularly
  • It is important to regularly inspect your funnel to ensure it is in good condition. A damaged funnel can lose pieces and affect performance.
  • With proper inspection and timely maintenance, you can prevent any issues that may arise from neglect.

  1. Reassemble the Components
  • After cleaning, reinsert the compacting pin, followed by the holder sleeve and the sleeve compacting pin cone.

Note: Regular maintenance of the funnel will enhance the overall efficiency of your Preroll-Er. Make it a habit to perform these cleaning procedures routinely to ensure optimal performance.
